Okay, for all the Americans in this group, this might be hard to understand, but... we in the Netherlands are totally unpatriottic. It is considered a little bougie (in the bad sense of the word) to be all "Holland, Holland" with the exception of national football, the Olympics, and King's Day. Other than that Dutch flags are only flying where there are a lot of tourists (just to make sure they know they're not in Denmark), on national holidays related to the royals or WWII, or when teens graduate from high school. We always look to the American outpurings of national pride with a raised eyebrow and a high level of eye rolling. But, when this song about our country and its little quirks came out, it was immediately immensely popular and is still very sentimental to most Dutch, including me. I don't usually like this type of music (Dutch folk singers) but I make an exception for this one. It was our American sentimentalism moment. Roll your eyes if you want. π
How would you categorize this song? I donβt know, but it instantly puts me in a good mood whenever I listen to it.

Country is the genre I listen to the least. Had a friend play this during a trip through Joshua Tree and it stuck with me.

I don't usually listen to Charli or auto-tuned songs in general, but I'm a sucker for these 80s synth-pop/darkwave vibes

Elena has introduced us to Laufey a while ago, even going to a concert together. I listened to the latest album to prepare for this concert and while most is nice jazz and bossa nova type stuff, this one stuck out from the very first listen. There's no beat, it's slow but the only way I can describe it's is that it is enchanting. It's in my favorite list now and sticks out like a sore thumb but I never skip it. So beautiful.

This was a difficult one for me, because I vibe with a lot of different stuff. But after a conversation with my 2 daughters I'm going with the poppiest of pop music, America's Sweetheart herself. (It was this or Golden ;)). Never will I put it on myself, but will I sing along without knowing any of the lyrics when I'm driving [just a tiny bit over the speed limit] and this is on the radio... Yes, I will!

This is the oldest song in my library, nothing else even comes close (1942). And probably the only western/country song I like. Credit to Fallout: New Vegas for bringing us together.

I don't hate any particular genre of music, but I'll say that country is generally not my cup of tea. Maybe Florida Georgia Line featuring Nelly, but not "real" country. But while this song actually feels like real country (in tone, content, and tenor), I absolutely love it.
Most pop tastes a bit too bland to me β like lemonade without enough syrup or a sandwich with just one slice of cheese. But this one? I canβt help but vibe with it.

Not one of their most popular (according to number of listens/plays on Spotify), but this song always gets stuck in my head and I don't know why.

Brostep is gimmicky and I was too old for this in 2011 and too old for this in 2026. But no one can resist the DROP

I'm not generally a big r&b fan but this one speaks to me personally.

Iβve never been a big fan of country but my dad went through phases of country music in my youth and some of them stuck with me.
