Unlike their other songs, this 1984 song fit in perfectly on playlists during the grunge of 1994 and the Strokes-Killers rock renaissance of 2004.

Loretta or Willie woulda built up the relationship more slowly. But what we got right here is a 2020’s style thirst trap of a song, masqueradin’ as a classic. By god, it’s parched. This song came out in 1977, but it would have fit in just as well in the late '90s or early 2000s. It almost reminds me of Madonna's Ray of Light - not because Madonna's jam felt like a throwback, but because songs like this were so far ahead of their time.
