It's a relatively long one, but the journey is just as important as the musical destination. The build up, the climax and then gently letting you come back down. Best to listen in one go in a place where you can focus and let yourself get carried away. Welcome to the world of post-rock!

I love percussions and this duo makes really cool music with their drums!
I tried to stay away from soundtracks, which are often wonderful instrumental tracks but they do get better with the context of where they come from. This came across my Spotify at random and I still listen to it today solely based on its own merit. Not much to find on this song or the artists, other than that it was used in a trailer at some point in 2020.

I hope this number is not too ear piercing for you guys. I love the combination of the solo violin and the upbeat music.

I think this round will favor pure instrumentals and non-covers (unless those covers are AMAZING). I found this Swiss-Ecuadoran artist through another music league. They create a really complex, full sound with just two guys. I stayed away from the Spanish-sounding song titles because I thought a few of you might have Español trauma.

Not my original submission... But i didn't want to risk getting minus points just for submitting a song that had 30 seconds of choir singing "Aaahhhhh", so Yiruma instead!

Fun Metallica fact: every live show opens with a movie clip, that being the scene from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly that features Ennio’s Ecstasy of Gold.

This song is best enjoyed when you’re relaxed and under the influence…

My premature victory lap song: an indulgent, slightly repetitive, moody track. Quite possibly I'll get negative score and slip to a lower place. The original version with vocals is even longer and devastatingly emo. New Wave didn't end because the '80s ended, it ended because everyone locked themselves in a dark room with their eyes closed listening on repeat to this, THE GREATEST ALBUM EVER MADE, and gave up trying to top it. My only complaint is that this song needs more Robert Smith meowing.

I thought, why not something a little different.... Oldie but goodie.
