But even if you didn't know that the words are the christian Lord's Prayer, I think the song gets its spirituality across. For me, the subtext of the song is that even though we have vastly different traditions and values, every culture and every human is driven to seek sustenance and then higher needs. Humanity strives, struggles, and transcends.
