- Favorite background score to a dramatic momentOriginYorick - #1 - 18 points - submitted Mar 9, 2025 - Commodus has been slain in a brutal final fight. As Maximus catches glimpses of Elysium he relays Marcus Aurelius's last wishes and falls to the ground. After his final words he walks the fields of Elysium, opens the door and is reunited with his family at last. The music is beautiful and bittersweet supporting this dramatic moment of triumph and the death of a great hero. The end of one of the best movies out there (that didn't really need that sequel, now did it?)
